As 2024 heads into the winter the ECFFL season is heading into it’s home stretch. As the leaves fall so do the contenders until you are left with only one, the ECFFL champion.
The stretch run is when you separate the contenders from the pretenders, the men from the boys, the elite from the commoners and the stallions from the spavined goats. The trade deadline saw an unprecedented number of trades happening with teams jockeying for position this year and for next. As usual this flurry of activity was not without controversy as trades were protested, trades were revised and trades were scrapped at the last minute.
The stretch run is also a time filled with celebrations in our real lives as well as it will encompass both Thanksgiving and Christmas again this year. A time to reflect on the year gone by and to enjoy time amongst family and friends. I know at the Jondahl household there will be a lot of memories shared and of course there will be ECFFL memories included. The Thanksgiving shopping lineup blunder, Kamara’s 5 TD XMas present and many others I’m sure.
